Our Programs & Classes

Students and enthusiasts of Karate have many reasons for their interest in this and other martial art styles. Some are drawn to the physical fitness and weight-loss aspects of training. Others seek to add discipline and self control to their lives. While still others are concerned about safety and self-defense.

Whether you are interested in our programs for mental or physical well being, Marc Unger Karate offers a number of programs that will fit your developmental needs and your busy schedule as well. Click here to view our Weekly Class Schedule.

Tyler and Bennett are promoted!
Entry Level Karate (Ages 5-14)
Discipline, confidence, balance, coordination, respect, listening and following directions along with the basic movements needed to succeed in Karate and enhance any sport. The student will be ready to progress into the "Beginner Karate for Youth" class in about one month.

Make new friends.
Beginner Karate (Ages 5-14)
All of the skills from "Basics" class will be enhanced along with attention span, goal setting and the likelihood of better school report cards. The student will learn more stretching, complex combinations, self-defense, choreographed floor routines, supervised sparring with protective gear, team movements and how to interact with others. For those interested, competition may start at this level. Upon graduation from this class, the White Belt student is ready for testing and promotion to the level of Green Belt.

Friendships last for years.
Intermediate/Advanced Karate (Ages 5-14)
Greater challenge, loftier goals, better physical fitness and the leadership skills developed from working with a mix of students at the intermediate levels of Green and Purple Belt and advanced levels of Brown and Black Belt.

Part of our adult class having a great time.
Karate I and II (Ages 15 through Adult)
Students of all ages from 15 through the more mature adult share in the workouts in this class. For our Youth student who is moving up, this is a continuation and advancement to training at an adult level. For the older teenage student, this is your chance to be on the team without having to be in the top 5, 9 or 11. For the college student, this is a way to stay in shape, recreate and improve your learning skills. For the working adult, this is a way to blow off stress. And for the more mature adult, this is a great way to limber up, get in shape or stay in shape as you learn the art, disicpline and self-defense you would expect from Karate.
